JMT has set a standard of excellence in structural engineering that has helped us earn many awards for our designs of new and replacement structures.  These designs have included vehicular and pedestrian bridges as well as other transportation-related structures, using a variety of materials and different construction methods that emphasize the most efficient maintenance of traffic. 

We give special attention to bridges over highways, waterways, and rail lines as we consider issues related to the environment, aesthetics, and constructability.

To aid in decision-making during the early stages of design, JMT can create virtual environments using imaging and animation software to demonstrate what a new bridge will look like.  During construction, we also provide shop drawing review and other consulting services.

Our extensive design experience includes:

• Bridges over water, highways and railroads constructed of steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and timber.

• Culverts using precast concrete, prestressed concrete and corrugated metal.
