Michael C. Hild, P.E. Joins JMT

Sparks, MD - Michael C. Hild, P.E. has joined JMT as a Vice President in our Maryland office. Mike has extensive multimodal technical and managerial experience that he will utilize to manage JMT's mid-Atlantic area projects. 

Mr. Hild served the Maryland Department of Transportation for thirty-two years in increasingly responsible positions.  Most recently, he was the Director of Engineering for the Maryland Port Administration (MPA) where he directed planning, design, dredging, port construction permitting, architectural/engineering and construction procurement, and construction management and inspection.  Some of the more notable projects at the MPA included the Fairfield and Seagirt Marine Terminals, construction of state-of-the-art container and gantry cranes, major waterfront structure redevelopment, port security projects, and major systems upgrades in the Baltimore World Trade Center.

Prior to joining the MPA, Mike held increasingly responsible positions within the Maryland State Highway Administration and the Maryland Transportation Authority including the position of Deputy Director of Engineering.  His experience there included the design and inspection of major bridge, building, and highway projects.

Mike is a Registered Professional Engineer and has a BS in Civil Engineering and a MS in Technical Management from the Johns Hopkins University.  He has been honored by ASCE for meritorious service to the civil engineering profession.
