Comcast Center is the new home of the University of Maryland-College Park athletic department.  JMT provided construction stakeout and surveys throughout the construction of this facility, which included a 17,100 seat arena for the Atlantic Coast Conference men's and women's basketball teams. In addition to the athletic administration and coaches' offices, Comcast Center features a 7,000 square foot academic support and career development center for student-athletes, weight training and conditioning areas with locker rooms, 20 suites, skyboxes, and a Terps merchandise store. Survey services included:

• Initial horizontal and vertical control around the site to set up a highly accurate perimeter for future layout surveys
• Column line layout on all four levels, anchor bolt as-builts, deck edge and stair tower as-builts, and raker beam as-builts
• Office computations for column line and control worksheets for use by the various contractors on site
• Verification of all column-line dimensions and generated coordinates at each column line intersection
• Uploaded of all computations into our field data collectors allowing accurate stakeout at any location on the site
• Performed surveying services for a new 1,200 space parking garage to be used by students and campus visitors
• Surveys for the new women's softball field
