For several years, JMT has served as an on-call consultant to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Detrick, Maryland. We provide expedited environmental documentation review services for project compliance with Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) regulations. Our work includes providing assistance in expediting erosion/sediment control and stormwater management documentation for small and large facility and roadway projects to be submitted to the MDE as well as ensuring that all state guidelines have been met. We have reviewed numerous projects, including new research buildings, central utility plant upgrades, relocated recreational facilities, and various access road and parking lot extensions. We also assist with erosion/sediment control and stormwater management review for the Fort's institutional management plan.
JMT provides similar services to non-military agencies constructing facilities on leased Fort property. Among the agencies we have advised are the Department of Homeland Security, Air Force Reserve Center, National Cancer Institute, US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense, and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
