Salisbury Bypass

 

JMT provided construction inspection services to the Maryland SHA’s District 1 for Salisbury Bypass Phase I, a $12.9 million project including bridge and roadway construction, noise abatement walls and utility work for nearly seven miles of roadway.  The project consisted of a four lane dualized highway, a two lane local roadway, a two lane flyover ramp, a two span bridge structure, and a full diamond interchange.  The project scope of work featured paving, concrete, erosion and sediment control, soil stabilization, grading, sanitary sewer, storm drain, electric, retention ponds, storm water management, and reforestation of wetlands. 

JMT’s inspectors performed duties including:

  • concrete testing
  • compaction tests with nuclear density gauge and sand cone
  • conduit installation
  • asphalt placement
  • inspection of formwork reinforcement
  • pipe work
  • concrete inlet installation
